Description

After arranging two of Bach’s early keyboard works, the Toccata & Fugue BWV 565 and the Chromatic Fantasy BWV 903, I got the hang of it and started searching for other of his keyboard works that are predominantly monophonic. This piece goes a step further in that I really changed the texture in order to make it suitable for a melodic instrument yet retaining as much from the harmonic wealth as possible.

I use urtext sources only, leaving the essential information, such as slurring, as original as can be, given the fact that these are arrangements. The result is a transposed and transformed piece that should sound well on the saxophone.
